RDM for Sustainable Agricultural Systems: Best Practices and Plans for Crops and Animals

We are pleased to invite you to the agricultural research workshop Research Data Management for Sustainable Agricultural Systems: Best Practices and Plans for Crops and Animals taking place on October 8, 2024, at the Research Institute for Farm Animal Biology (FBN) in Dummerstorf near Rostock. The workshop will last a whole day from 9 am sharp to 3 pm.
Objectives
The workshop will focus on improving participants' understanding of research data management in sustainable agricultural contexts. Through various presentations, participants will be introduced to the use of RISE-DE for self-assessment in institutional research data management and KPI monitoring with Scorpion for service impact assessment. There will also be a focus on metadata standards with presentations on MIAPPE and BrAPI for plant science and standardization approaches in animal research. In a demonstration the participants will get a first view on the ongoing adaption of the biodiversity metadata schema ABCD to livestock data.
