Poster sessions, a barcamp, a software & tools marketplace, and many more ways to connect, contribute and collaborate:

The joint conference of NFDI4Biodiversity and NFDI4Earth in Bremen brings together researchers, data stewards, and practitioners from across the biodiversity and environmental data communities. Over the course of four days, participants are invited to share ideas, explore innovative approaches, and strengthen networks across disciplines and domains.

The event will open with welcome addresses from Bremen Senator Kathrin Moosdorf (video message), Prof. Dr. Michael Kucera (University of Bremen, Vice-Rector for Research and Transfer), and Prof. Dr. Kai-Uwe Hinrichs (Director, MARUM – Center for Marine Environmental Sciences), followed by a keynote from Wim Hugo, Chief Data and Information Officer at the South African Environmental Observation Network (SAEON) and Technical Coordinator of the global Research Data Alliance (RDA).

Alongside an engaging joint program, each consortium will host its own dedicated sessions before and after the shared component:

You can choose to attend one, two, or several parts of the event — whatever best suits your interests and availability.

July 14, 2025: Call for Contributions closes
July 14 till end of month: All contributors will be informed by email whether their submission has been accepted
September 9, 2025: Registration closes (Please note: The registration deadline has been extended (formerly August 24,2025)).
