NFDI4Biodiversity All Hands Conference 2024

In April 2024, the NFDI4Biodiversity All Hands Conference – the central meeting for all members of the project – will enter the next round: From 24 to 26 April, we will be hosted by one of our partner institutions, as we were last time: this time in the beautiful premises of the Directorate General of the State Archives in Munich.

The conference will focus on the concrete progress made in recent years, as well as the challenges and plans for 2024 and 2025. Together, we will look at what has already been achieved to improve data availability in the community – and what steps need to be taken next. Of course, we will also be discussing the necessary targets for a second funding phase from autumn 2025.

Please note: As a working meeting, the conference is largely based on on-site participation. Only some of the programme items on day 1 and day 3 can be followed virtually (see marking in the programme at the bottom of this page).



  • On-site participation: Registration open until April 4, 2024 (Extended until April 11 or until remaining places are allocated.)

  • Participation online: Registration open until 19 April 2024


The NFDI4Biodiversity All Hands Conference is the consortium's internal annual conference. As places are limited, therefore only project members will have the opportunity to register for participation in Munich/online.

From March 25, 2024, interested members of other NFDI consortia as well as stakeholders and employees of cooperating partner institutions are also cordially invited to join the conference (on site or digitally).
