CARE-ing about Indigenous Data in a Wide World
Organisation: FAIRagro
FAIRagro, NFDI4Biodiversity and NFDI4Earth present another Episode of the Survival Guide for Law and Ethics in Research: CARE-ing about Indigenous Data in a Wide World.
Indigenous Data Sovereignty, Governance, and Ethics refers to the rights of indigenous peoples to manage their data (sovereignty) and how they can be used by others (governance). Together with Joseph Gum, we will discuss how the CARE-Principles should be applied when working with claimed indigenous data. We will look at practical case studies and investigate relationships between the data and your research.
Target Group: Researchers, data stewards, etc. from agricultural, biodiversity and earth system research. The workshop will be held in English.
