BiodiversiTea – die NFDI4Biodiversity Coffee Lecture #19

The online format BiodiversiTea offers a forum for presenting and discussing work, projects, tools and topics from and around the NFDI4Biodiversity community. Once a month, we meet online for an hour - for exciting presentations and lively discussions over a cup of tea (or coffee). The session is open to anyone who would like to find out about and discuss current developments and topics relating to biodiversity data. Membership of NFDI4Biodiversity is not necessary.

For this years Christmas Edition of our BiodiversiTea we joined forces with the WiNoDa Knowledge Lab and add data management support to your Christmas presents!

The GFBio DMP Tool – Software for Data Management Planning in Biodiversity, Ecology, and Environmental Research

That's what it is about
More and more research data is being generated—but how can you manage your data effectively? Good data management starts with careful planning, and a data management plan (DMP) is the best foundation for this. A DMP specifies what data will be generated in your project and how it will be processed, stored, and shared. It supports researchers in their daily work while ensuring compliance with FAIR principles and guidelines.

To support you in this, GFBio offers a free tool that you can use to create a DMP tailored to your project. It provides a discipline specific questionaire covering biodiversity, ecology, and environmental research data, and individual support to develop your DMP.

In this webinar, organized in collaboration with the BiodiversiTea team from NFDI4Biodiversity, you will receive a clear introduction to data management plans, a tour of the GFBio support service, and the opportunity to try out the DMP tool yourself.
