The NFDI Association and many NFDI consortia are leaving Twitter/X

Exit-Twitterausstieg

Wir – viele NFDI-Konsortien sowie der NFDI-Verein – verlassen Twitter/X. In unserer Erklärung erfahren Sie, warum wir unsere Accounts zum Jahresende stilllegen – und, wo Sie uns stattdessen finden.

The NFDI Association and the NFDI Consortia are committed to the core values of Open Science. We value diversity – not only in the data we care about, but also in the conversations we engage in. We are therefore committed to creating an environment that is welcoming, supportive, respectful and free from threat, intimidation, bullying and discrimination.

Twitter/X's decision to significantly reduce the number of content moderation teams and to invite previously banned authors of hate messages back onto its platform is contrary to this commitment. We have therefore decided to adjust our social media strategy and distance ourselves from Twitter/X. From now on, we will focus our attention on our platforms that currently correspond better with our values, such as our new LinkedIn account.

We will no longer use Twitter/X as of December 31, 2023. Our account will remain inactive and will serve as an archive for some time, but no longer as a communication channel.

To stay in touch with us, feel free to follow us on other platforms that support a constructive and respectful dialog. An overview of all social media platforms where you can find us, the NFDI Association and other consortia can be found here.
